Tips to preserve the condition and structure of your wood deck

• Sweep leaves and materials off your deck as soon as you notice them. Using a garden house, rinse off any dirt, pollen, and dust on a regular basis
• Look in between the panels and remove any leaves or insects (yuck) that often get stuck there
• If you have a barbecue, make sure to clean up any grease and oil spills as soon as possible
• Never use chemicals or bleach on your wood surfaces
• Don't stain over rotted wood
• Make sure your deck or fence is 100% dry before applying any stain
